Your mission In this role, you will combine in-depth programming skills with modern system administration and act as a central interface between software development and IT operations in our Platform Engineering team.
Optimization and automation of development and operational processes
Automate and ensure application scalability
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g. with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to improve our processes and software
Manage cloud infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Automate deployments and infrastructure with tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Pulumi
Monitor and log (e.g. with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) or cloud-based observability platforms such as NewRelic
Collaborate with product engineering teams to optimize software delivery to foster quality and increase release frequency
Develop self-services to automate processes in an existing cloud environment at scale
Provide self-services to users of a platform in the cloud
Your profile
Degree in Computer Science (or Business Informatics) or a comparable qualification
Several years’ practical experience in setting up and operating modern cloud and platform environments
Solid practical experience of cloud computing architecture, ideally Microsoft Azure
Several years’ experience with automation using one or more scripting languages
In-depth knowledge of configuring and deploying containerized applications and orchestrating them with Kubernetes
Reasonable experience with monitoring and observability practice and tools
Very good understanding of network architectures, firewalls, and related technologies
Additional experience
Software development with Java or software operations
SRE practices (Site Reliability Engineering)
