Do you have experience with building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and advanced SQL optimization?
What You Will Be Doing: As a Data Engineer, you will build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions across cloud and Microsoft platforms. You will design ELT/ETL processes, integrate APIs, optimize SQL and BigQuery workflows, and deliver comprehensive dashboards and apps in Power BI and Power Apps. You will work with Microsoft Fabric dataflows, R, and Python to ensure reproducible data workflows and modern engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and build Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) for business workflows.
Design and deliver professional Power BI solutions.
Build and optimize advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and BigQuery performance (partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization).
Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using BigQuery and Microsoft Fabric dataflows.
Integrate with internal and external APIs using REST and OAuth, managing transforms and loads into BigQuery and Fabric OneLake.
Develop reusable data models and curated datasets for analytics and reporting.
Use R and/or Python for data processing and building reproducible data workflows.
Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Proactively propose and lead implementations for scalable, business-ready analytics improvements.
Manage multiple concurrent projects with disciplined execution and clear communication in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
3+ years of end-to-end Power BI experience, including DAX and tuning.
2+ years of experience with Power Apps (canvas and model-driven).
4+ years of advanced SQL experience, including stored procedures and BigQuery tuning.
2+ years of experience with ETL/ELT (specifically BigQuery or Microsoft Fabric).
2+ years of API integration experience (REST, OAuth, rate limiting).
2+ years of experience using R or Python for data workflows.
3+ years of experience developing reusable data models and curated datasets.
Ability to work onsite 3 days per week.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Proven ability to lead scalable analytics improvements and translate complex requirements.
Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric dataflows and OneLake integration.
Pay: $53.90 – $77.00 / hr.
