Location:
New York, NY (hybrid/in-office at least 3 days per week) Our client is a a leading independent financial advisory firm serving boards, management teams, and shareholders on major strategic decisions. It also provides capital raising, equities services, and wealth management through a global office network.
Must haves 5+ years as a Business Analyst on complex cross-functional initiatives in financial services Front-office exposure in investment banking, capital markets, private equity, venture capital, or hedge funds Experience supporting AI, ML, or data science products Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills Ability to lead UAT planning, testing coordination, issue triage, and resolution Strong communication skills across technical teams, bankers, and senior executives Proactive, independent, and solutions-oriented approach in fast-moving environments Ability to assess product usability and provide actionable UX feedback Familiarity with generative AI tools and practical use cases
Nice to have
Experience with enterprise data platforms, lakehouses, BI modernization, or data governance Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms Experience with BI/data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Ability to analyze data using SQL or Python
Top responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear requirements for AI, ML, and analytics products Act as the bridge between technical teams and front-office stakeholders to keep delivery aligned Own UAT planning and execution, including test plans, issue triage, and closure Manage and maintain the firm's data demand intake pipeline and demand register Track and communicate demand status, data readiness, and support governance efforts as needed
