Position : Senior Design Engineer (Full-time, hybrid) Location : Chanhassen, MN 55317; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; some onsite presence required. Responsibilities
Support clients, sales, and design team members by creating SolidWorks models, drawings, BOMs and detailed specifications for quotation and manufacturing of fixtures. Mentor and coach other Design Engineers on specification creation, instruction manuals and prototype/production documentation. Edit and redline models and drawings; oversee collaboration with vendor partners to understand fabrication techniques for wood, metal, or plastic. Collaborate with product development, prototyping, design and sales teams to engineer creative solutions within project budget and timelines. Conduct value-engineering exercises based on existing/prototyped parts and lead revisions for production. Document and control revisions of all drawings and models using EPDM file database and part numbering system. Create SolidWorks renderings with Photoview 360 or similar, preparing materials for client presentations using InDesign templates. Perform miscellaneous projects and tasks as requested by Management. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in CAD/Engineering, Mechanical Design, or Engineering. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Design Engineer, preferably in retail fixtures or visual merchandising. Expert proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS PDM, and related design engineering tools. Strong initiative, focus on quality, problem-solver, and sense of urgency. Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal and listening skills. Adaptability, loyalty, and willingness to admit mistakes; ability to work cohesively within diverse teams. Compensation
Compensation Range : $83,000 – $100,000 annually (market-based, experience-dependent). Benefits
