The Cloud Solutions Engineer III will lead the design, implementation, and management of the organization's cloud infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of cloud environments, as well as providing support for related services such as networking, storage, and identity management.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions to meet business requirements.
Oversee the management and maintenance of cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
Monitor and troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
Implement and manage cloud security policies and configuration settings.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate cloud services with on-premises systems and applications.
Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for cloud environments.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Mentor and train junior team members.
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT operational systems.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; preferred Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Systems or related field.
Licensing/Certification: Required – AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional. Preferred – Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
Experience: Minimum 6+ years in cloud engineering or related role. Proven track record of leading design and implementation of cloud solutions, managing and troubleshooting complex environments, integrating cloud services with other IT systems.
Technical Skills: Linux server administration, hybrid cloud solutions, identity & access management (IAM), security frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS), multi‑factor authentication (MFA), single sign‑on (SSO), networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancers, CDNs), virtualization (VMs), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Other Skills: Ability to work in fast‑paced environment, manage multiple priorities, strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Working Conditions
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads.
General office environment; may require travel to off‑site locations, including adverse weather conditions.
Possible constant interruptions and prolonged periods of working alone.
Physical Requirements
Lifting/Carrying: 0–50 lbs. and 50–100 lbs.; Push/Pull: 0–50 lbs.; Stoop, Kneel, Squat, Balance, Bending.
Work Position: Sitting, Walking, Standing.
Manual dexterity, eye/hand coordination, hearing alarms/telephone/alerts, reach above shoulder, repetitive arm/hand movements.
Color vision; acuity – far and near.
Hazards: Depth perception, potential electrical shock.
