Location: Office-based - Bromsgrove Head Office
Contract: Full-time, permanent (35 hours per week)
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

We are excited to invite an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join our growing team at our Head Office in Bromsgrove!

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of purchase ledger systems, processes, and controls.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated purchase ledger team of 3 staff members.
  • Train and educate purchase order users to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure timely weekly supplier payment processing and authorization in line with company procedures.
  • Resolve queries from suppliers and internal departments promptly.
  • Reconcile suppliers' monthly statements to maintain accuracy.
  • Assist with month-end procedures and year-end accounts, providing necessary audit information.
  • Continuously monitor, improve, and develop internal processes.
  • Review and follow up on any suspicious invoices, escalating as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance fraud prevention controls, including supplier verification and bank detail checks.
  • Produce and review aged creditor reports, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in purchase ledger, including familiarity with purchase order systems.
  • Leadership experience with a passion for developing others.
  • Knowledge of accounting software to streamline processes.
  • A proactive approach to work with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive environment.
