Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
In this general neurosurgery role, you will have the opportunity to build a strong elective spine practice while working within a well-integrated inpatient, outpatient, and clinic setting. The facility boasts a Level 3 trauma designation, providing a dynamic environment for professional growth and patient impact. With state-of-the-art neuro-navigation tools, including the Globus Robot and Stryker systems, you will have access to the latest technology to enhance patient outcomes.
Schedule and Assignment Details
Enjoy a balanced and predictable work schedule with two days in the clinic, two days in the operating room, and one flex day per week. The clinic serves an average of 8 to 12 patients per day, supplemented by 3-4 Physician Assistants (PAs). Call responsibilities include seven days per month for ER coverage, with an emphasis on remote imaging review. Minimal in-person requirements allow for flexibility and work-life balance. Weekend call coverage is likely one weekend per month.
Support and Work Environment
Join a collegial team that includes one other Neurosurgeon and four experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The clinic is conveniently co-located with pain services and offers on-site X-ray facilities, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The collaborative environment is supported by a robust EMR system (EPIC), streamlining workflow and enhancing patient care delivery.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible in Neurosurgery through the ABNS within five years of eligibility.
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a Colorado medical license.
- Clean malpractice record is mandatory.
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report required within 30 days of application.
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to start date.
