RA is seeking a detail‑oriented Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team and play a critical role in the development and enhancement of our business systems, both internally developed and third‑party. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements while serving as a key liaison between stakeholders and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for system enhancements and new features
Create comprehensive functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Develop and maintain business process documentation, workflows, and system documentation
Conduct requirements gathering sessions, training sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through system enhancements
Work closely with teams across the operations department to ensure requirements are clearly understood and properly implemented
Support user training, acceptance testing by creating test scenarios and validating deliverables against requirements
Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
Assist with change management activities and communicate impacts of system changes to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in software development environments
Experience in financial services, investment management, etc. preferred
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with requirements gathering techniques and documentation tools
Proficiency in creating process flows, use cases, and functional specifications
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience with project management and collaboration tools
Proficient in platforms such as CRM and Notion, and data visualization tools like Tableau and Sigma
Must be based in Boston with the ability to work in our downtown office on a hybrid schedule
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with research management or academic systems
Knowledge of database concepts and SQL
Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as CRM, Notion, Slack etc.
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Understanding of UX/UI principles and user‑centered design

$90,000‑$150,000 USD
