We are excited to invite an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join our expanding team at our Head Office in Bromsgrove!
Your Role and Responsibilities- Manage purchase ledger systems, processes, and controls.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a dedicated purchase ledger team (3 staff).
- Train and educate purchase order users with enthusiasm.
- Ensure timely weekly supplier payment processing and authorization in line with company procedures.
- Resolve queries from suppliers and other departments effectively.
- Reconcile suppliers' monthly statements with precision.
- Assist with month-end procedures and year-end accounts, providing audit information as needed.
- Monitor, improve, and develop internal processes for efficiency.
- Review and follow up on any invoices that may appear fraudulent or duplicated, escalating as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance fraud prevention controls, including supplier verification processes and bank detail change checks.
- Produce and review aged creditor reports, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances.
- Proven experience in purchase ledger, including familiarity with purchase order systems.
- Previous leadership or people development experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting software is essential.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
