Job Description:
Our client is a healthcare AI startup hiring a Frontend Software Engineer to help build and scale a modern healthcare marketplace—making accessing care simpler and more intuitive.
In this role, you will help create a seamless, high-quality consumer experience on the web. You will own core areas of a Next.js application—from search and scheduling to provider profiles and checkout—with a strong focus on UI/UX and patient experience. We are targeting to ~5% frontend talent; startup experience is a strong plus.
What You'll Do:
Build and scale core frontend features across a consumer healthcare platform
Own major surfaces of a Next.js app, including search, booking, and checkout flows
Partner closely with product, design, and backend to ship polished, user-centric experiences
Prioritize performance, usability, and clean, maintainable code
What We Want:
3+ years as a frontend engineer, ideally in fast-paced or startup environments
Proven ability to operate in ambiguous, high-growth settings
Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, with a sharp eye for UI/UX detail
Next.js in production; familiarity with REST APIs, Ruby on Rails, and Postgres preferred
Technical degree, ideally Computer Science
Strong communication—able to explain technical choices clearly to technical and non-technical partners
Entrepreneurial mindset: thinks beyond code about product, users, and go-to-market
Passion for the mission and excitement about improving access to healthcare (prior healthcare experience not required)
Pluses:
Prior startup or 0→1 product experience
Healthcare or marketplace consumer product experience
Work Authorization:
U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents (green card holders) only. No visa sponsorship.
