The Control Automation Team automates manual controls through data‑driven capabilities in collaboration with Business, Internal Audit, Internal Citi Risk and Control, and Technology.
Responsibilities
Apply analytical and data management skills to understand business needs, identify inconsistencies and patterns in data, and generate actionable insights. Transform data sets and perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to support decision making. Proactively formulate analytical methodology and provide recommendations to improve processes and controls.
Expertise Required
Analytical Skills Proficient in data analysis and identifying data patterns Ability to formulate analytical methodologies and identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and patterns Experience transforming data sets and performing quantitative and qualitative analyses Provide recommendations and generate actionable business insights Proficient in data manipulation and solving problems with large datasets to drive actionable conclusions Strong ability to understand requirements from business teams
Tools and Platforms
Hands-on experience in SAS, SQL, Python; strong RDBMS concepts Intermediate experience in Appian, Xceptor and Tableau Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA
Nice to Have
SAS on Mainframe Workflow management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket (Version Control)
Domain Skills
Banking products (Wealth, Cards, Deposit, Loans, Insurance, etc.)
Functional Skills
Business risk, controls, compliance, and data management
Nice to Have
Knowledge of finance regulations; understanding of audit processes
Soft Skills

Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications / Engineering; BTech/B.E./MCA in IT (Preferred) Postgraduate degree (Masters in Computers) 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in developing codes in SAS, SQL, Python environments
