Logistics Manager - Inbound Freight

What You Will Do
Develop and execute the strategic vision and plan for Daikin Applied, including Alliance Air Products inbound international and domestic transportation
Develop and lead the ongoing strategy for operational excellence and growth in the logistics, material handling, and delivered quality of all inbound shipments
Lead sourcing strategies for logistics service providers
Develop and implement projects to improve inbound logistics quality, service, and cost
Develop KPIs to monitor logistics processes
Maintain and share broad knowledge of worldwide market trends related to logistics, regulatory environment, currency fluctuations and other relevant cost factors that may affect supply chain
Coordinate and interface with various functions including Integrated Supply Chain, IT, HR, and Finance to ensure the appropriate resources are available and aligned business objectives
Lead vertically and collaborate horizontally, fostering harmonious relationships that transcend the organization
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics (manufacturing environment preferred)
Strong high‑level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
Outstanding relationship management, confident, well developed interpersonal & problem‑solving skills
Strong background in domestic and international logistics ideally within a complex, manufacturing environment
Demonstrated example of taking initiative with a solid work ethic
Exceptional communication skills, well developed listening skills, and ability to interpret business and/or client needs

Pay range: $100,800.00 – $171,700 + 15% annual bonus target (Minnesota). Salary depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
