About the Role We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with a proven track record in managing production environments. Individuals that are best suited for this role will have at least 3 years of professional experience in a Systems Administrator role. Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager, you will provide high quality planning, support, and oversight on all activities related to the design, development and implementation of computer systems and software applications. This includes configuring, maintaining, and supporting all of Fox World Travel’s existing application infrastructure and future technology integrations as they arise. You will perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, and installation to ensure the infrastructure performance meets company and user requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Perform configuration, monitoring, administration, and support on computer systems, public cloud environment database, and enterprise-level applications, including but not limited to: Software-as-a-Service Applications, CRMs, Network infrastructure (LAN and WAN), DNS logic, Collaboration Tool Suite, Enterprise Contact Center, System Automation Tools, End-user Computing Environment, Industry-specific Applications.
Respond to level 2 and above customer support request tickets, calls and emails, taking ownership and managing support tickets as assigned.
Assist other team members with troubleshooting to identify root cause and provide technical support when needed.
Update help desk service ticket work notes, providing updates, status, and completion information.
Collaborate with other departments and external vendors to resolve requests in a timely manner.
Perform regular scheduled systems maintenance, patching, and audits, including backups, ensuring system availability and that effective alerts are in place in the case of failure.
In collaboration with the Systems Architect, implement new technology solutions aligned with business initiatives.
Participate in team rotation of on-call, after-hours support.
Maintain confidentiality with regards to the information being processed, stored, or accessed as part of daily work assignments/requests.
Maintain a favorable and collaborative working relationship with co-workers across all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect, driving standards and best practices whenever possible.
Enhance the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to promote continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services performed.
Other duties, projects and alternate assignments as determined by business need.
Requirements
3+ years of demonstrated experience in a Systems Administrator role.
Bachelor/associate degree or related IT certifications.
Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Office365, Azure, and Intune, including administration and development.
Experience using scripting languages; especially Microsoft PowerShell.
Experience administering and supporting cloud-based endpoint security platforms; familiarity with CrowdStrike (Falcon platform) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of current cyber security practices with willingness to expand skills.
Knowledge of current database technologies including MSSQL and MySQL.
Experience with Linux.
Familiarity with Salesforce or GlobalWare systems.
Demonstrated strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences and excel in customer service through effective troubleshooting and support.
Ability to maintain professional and technical knowledge, and to research new technologies quickly.
Ability to analyze, evaluate, and solve technical matters with critical solutions thinking.
Ability to work flexible hours within and outside of scheduled shift.
Effective listening skills to determine root cause quickly and address misunderstandings promptly.
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
