What You Will Do
Administers server, network, and telecommunication operations; troubleshoots and resolves problems.
Administers security applications, appliances, and tools for LAN, WAN, internet, intranet, extranet, and cloud networks and proactively assesses potential computing risks from design to deployment, identifies and remediates vulnerabilities.
Manages account and data security.
Manages centralized security for the client and server computing environment to guard against all forms of malicious infiltrations.
Administers and monitors secure client, server, cloud, and network environments employing the principle of least access to safeguard systems, applications, data transmission and data storage servers.
Coordinates and administers secure computer hosted services for external agencies.
Installs and tests server and other hardware upgrades, utilities, and patches.
Evaluates hardware and software products for suitability, compatibility, and stability to be used within the computing environment.
Provides technical expertise and direction to other IT staff.
Conducts research to develop or identify improved standards and techniques. Explores new software and hardware technologies to facilitate enhancements of computing environment.
Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.
Fills in for other staff as necessary and/or required.
What You Have Education & Experience:
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is required.
Minimum of two years of experience in PC Computing, server and network management is required.
Note: Any acceptable combination of related education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered as a substitution.
Licenses/Certificates
Valid driver’s license at the time of application AND a valid Colorado driver’s license at time of hire required.
Must successfully pass a background check.
