Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Development professional at Level 3 to join our team. The role involves working on cutting-edge technology solutions within the Global Banking Technology (GBT) division. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing ETL components, managing data engineering pipelines, and reengineering statistical risk models for cloud environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced tools and technologies, including Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, and PyTorch, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Develop ETL components and provide user access to data via reports and data extracts.
Work with multiple database systems, including Teradata, HIVE, SQL Server, DB2, and Snowflake.
Build and enhance data engineering pipelines using Spark on Cloud with tools like Databricks and Snowflake.
Reengineer statistical risk models developed in C for better latency using technologies like PyTorch.
Collaborate with Quantitative Strategists and Statistical Modelers to build, enhance, and test scenarios.
Identify potential improvements to current designs and processes.
Assess risks in design and development upfront.
Plan and coordinate data and process migration across databases.
Participate in multiple project discussions as a senior team member.
Mentor junior developers and provide thought leadership.
Lead the team in new initiatives, including cloud strategy.
Qualifications
10 years of experience in application development.
Strong expertise in Python, Spark, PyTorch, PySpark, Java, and C scripting.
Knowledge of Machine Learning, Statistics, and Model development, training, and inference.
Strong design and problem-solving skills.
Experience with machine learning tools such as ML Flow, Databricks, and Snowflake on Cloud.
Proficiency in SQL and database programming, including creating views, stored procedures, and triggers.
Hands-on experience with RDBMS systems like DB2, Teradata, Oracle, and Snowflake.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Experience with Unix/Linux programming (shell and/or Perl).
Desired Skills
Experience in the financial industry.
Understanding of data engineering principles and risk model development.
ETL experience with Informatica.
Experience with cloud databases such as Azure and Snowflake.
Proficiency in Scala, Spark, C, and PyTorch.
Experience with AngularJS and KDB.

Pay Range $70 – $75 an hour on W2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
