The Role
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, and design functions.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and managing
planning applications, reports, and appeals
Reviewing multidisciplinary outputs including
drawings, figures, and technical reports
Leading on
EIAR chapters and Planning & Environmental Consideration Reports (PECRs)
Providing
strategic planning advice
and managing planning risk
Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies including
An Bord Pleanála
Supporting planning-related legal processes, including
judicial review documentation
Representing clients at
meetings, consultations, and oral hearings (as Expert Witness)
Managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Mentoring junior team members and supporting team development
Contributing to
tenders, business development, and client relationship management
About You
Minimum
8+ years’ experience
in a planning role (public or private sector)
Strong knowledge of the
Irish planning system, legislation, and policy
Corporate Member of the
IPI
or Chartered Member of the
RTPI
(or working towards)
Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills
Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing experience
Ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality outputs
Collaborative xcfaprz mindset with experience working alongside
engineers and environmental specialists
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant project management tools
