Senior Solutions Architect
Position Overview
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will serve as the technical authority for Modigent's Horizons Program - our multi-OpCo ERP transformation initiative. You will own the end-to-end design, validation, and evolution of the MuleSoft integration layer that connects Procore (project management), BuildOps (field service), and Sage Intacct (financials) across 13 operating companies. This role bridges implementation execution and long-term platform strategy, ensuring integrations are scalable, reliable, and built to support Modigent's growth for the next decade. You will also provide broader platform architecture guidance to ensure every OpCo implementation is technically sound and free of accumulating technical debt.
Duties and Responsibilities Own the Horizons integration architecture: design, document, and maintain the MuleSoft integration layer between Procore, BuildOps, and Sage Intacct, including integration patterns, data flows, field mappings, and error handling. Lead MuleSoft release management: plan, test, and sequence new platform features for validation across OpCos before broad production rollout. Support every OpCo implementation by participating in integration design reviews, configuration validation, data mapping, phase gate reviews, and go-live/cutover activities. Serve as the primary escalation point for production integration issues; diagnose root causes and resolve complex problems under time pressure. Drive platform-wide architecture decisions, including API governance, data modeling, security, monitoring, and performance standards that apply across all operating companies. Partner closely with the Data Migration Lead and Business Analysts to ensure seamless alignment between integration and data migration efforts. Build internal technical capability by creating and maintaining architecture documentation, runbooks, and knowledge assets so the Modigent team can independently operate and evolve the platform. Evaluate and manage relationships with key integration vendors (MuleSoft, Procore, BuildOps, Sage) and escalate issues effectively when needed. Contribute to continuous improvement of integration processes, standards, and best practices across the Horizons Program. Supervisory Responsibilities
None (senior individual contributor role with significant technical leadership; provides guidance and direction to implementation teams, analysts, and vendors).
Requirements/Qualifications
Experience : 8+ years of enterprise integration and solutions architecture experience with hands-on design and implementation (not just oversight). Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Physical Demands : Primarily office-based with occasional travel for project meetings or go-live support; standard office mobility. Work Environment/Safety : Professional office setting with hybrid options; adherence to corporate safety standards. Required Skills
Deep expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API design, flow development, error handling, and runtime management (MuleSoft certification strongly preferred). Direct integration experience with at least two of the following: Procore, BuildOps, Sage Intacct, or similar construction/ERP platforms. Strong understanding of construction accounting and financial data flows (job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, etc.). Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration issues in production environments. Experience managing integration releases across dev, staging, and production with solid rollback planning. Advanced analytical, documentation, and communication skills - able to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Broad platform architecture perspective covering API governance, data modeling, security, monitoring, and scalability. Modigent Overview
