The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring consistent product quality and plant sanitation by developing, implementing, and enforcing best-in-class manufacturing practices. This role leads food safety and quality programs, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides leadership to the QA team in a food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure GMP and HACCP programs are implemented and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements Serve as HACCP Leader, maintaining and updating HACCP and prerequisite programs Support and lead third-party, customer, and internal audits (GMP, Costco, etc.) Maintain programs including Recall/Mock Recall, Traceability, FIFO, Food Safety, Pest Control, and Food Security Quality Systems & Documentation: Maintain and update finished product specifications, SOPs, SSOPs, and QA documentation Review internal and external testing results for raw materials and finished products Monitor environmental swabbing and oversee facility sanitation programs Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping for compliance Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, coach, and develop QA Technicians Identify training needs and support employee growth and performance management Manage attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions when necessary Supervise a team of QA Technicians and provide development recommendations Continuous Improvement & Operations Support: Investigate plant issues and implement corrective and preventive actions Follow up on customer and supplier complaints Partner with Plant Operations to drive process improvements and cost savings Develop and deliver training programs on quality, food safety, and regulatory standards Qualifications: Experience in food manufacturing quality assurance required Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations Leadership experience managing QA teams Experience with audits and regulatory compliance Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
