An experienced Commercial Manager responsible for overseeing the commercial and contractual performance of projects, ensuring effective cost control, contract compliance, and successful project delivery. The role involves regular engagement with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to manage risk, maximise value, and identify business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial and contractual performance of projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Prepare, submit, and agree interim valuations, final accounts, and payment applications
  • Monitor project costs, cashflow, and financial reporting, ensuring recovery of all monies due
  • Review contract documentation, identifying risks, discrepancies, and opportunities
  • Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers, including agreement of accounts and payments
  • Carry out site measurements and valuations, agreeing works with client representatives
  • Track project progress, variations, delays, and associated contractual entitlements
  • Support the preparation and management of claims and contractual correspondence
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient project delivery and financial control
  • Attend project meetings and represent commercial interests at all stages
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are delivered in line with programme and cost xcfaprz expectations
  • Provide clear reporting and escalate any commercial or operational risks to senior management

Key Skills Required

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (desirable)
  • 10+ years’ experience in the construction industry
  • Strong experience with public sector contracts
  • Full clean Irish/EU driving licence
  • Eligible to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or valid work permit)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
