Team & Opportunity

As part of our Data Analytics & AI team, the Data Architect role is pivotal in enabling clients to derive significant value from their information assets. Through collaboration and domain expertise, our team embeds innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategic assets. We look for a Data Architect passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems and drive business outcomes.


You will play a key role in driving growth by developing new and existing client relationships and delivering first‑class customer experience on high‑profile engagements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead diverse teams with varying skillsets who use different Data and Analytics technologies.
  • Adapt leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs; anticipate and identify risks and elevate issues as appropriate.
  • Coach and counsel junior team members, sharing best practices, industry trends, and technical knowledge to foster professional growth.
  • Design and implement data artefacts, including data modelling, integration, storage, and governance based on industry best practices and client‑specific requirements.
  • Apply hands‑on data modelling techniques to create Enterprise Data Models.
  • Implement data management concepts (Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Testing).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders—to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Assess existing data architectures, identify improvement areas, and recommend remediation plans to optimise processes and systems.
  • Develop data migration strategies and oversee execution, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert insights on data architecture, governance, quality, and security.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards in data architecture and management, providing thought leadership to drive innovation.

Qualifications

  • Third‑level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis and strategy, with a proven track record of creating impactful visual stories from complex datasets.
  • At least 2 years of consulting experience delivering strategic guidance and hands‑on implementation while building trusted advisor relationships.
  • Strong expertise in data modelling, database design, and SQL across multiple database platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge of data integration techniques, ETL processes, and data warehouse design.
  • Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to understand complex business requirements and design innovative solutions.
  • Excellent client‑facing skills, building rapport and managing relationships at various organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership abilities, leading and mentoring a team of consultants to achieve successful project outcomes.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to keep pace with industry trends and apply best practices to data strategy and operations.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of database technologies, including relational, NoSQL, and cloud‑based platforms.
  • Professional certifications in NoSQL databases are a plus.
