Radiology - Interventional Physician

Locum Interventional Radiologist

Seeking multiple Locum Interventional Radiologists for coverage beginning March 21, 2026 , with an initial 3 6 month assignment and the option to extend as needed.

Reason for Coverage

• Radiology group transitioning to an employed model

Schedule & Call

• Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM

• 24-hour call coverage required , including nights and weekends (onsite)

• High-volume, fast-paced IR service

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based with some remote work components

• Trauma Level I facility

• Full complement of support staff

Patient Population

• Neonates through geriatrics (pediatric cases are rare)

Technology

• Epic, PowerScribe, and PACS

Credentialing

• Estimated timeframe: days

• Credentialing and application fees are not reimbursed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR)

• Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology highly preferred

• Active Connecticut medical license or IMLC at time of submission

• DEA registration or eligibility

• Current BLS certification (ACLS optional depending on subspecialty)

• Proficiency with PACS, PowerScribe, and modern radiology IT platforms

• Ability to perform interventional procedures; fluoroscopy capability to be noted at submission

• Experience in high-volume, integrated health system environments

• Strong collaboration skills and commitment to quality and patient-centered care

• NPDB self-query required at time of presentation (pulled within the same month)
