I am seeking a Senior IT Procurement Category Manager to lead the procurement of technology goods and ICT/IT services in a fast‑moving environment. This is an important leadership role responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, value for money, compliance and supporting an overall digital transformation.
In this role you will:
Develop and implement long‑term strategic category plans for IT.
Lead and mentor a team in a high‑performance culture.
Drive best practice and continuous improvement across sourcing and procurement activities.
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, delivering value through innovative sourcing strategies.
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Create and execute sourcing strategies for IT categories including Software and Professional Services.
Apply strategic sourcing methodologies such as cost analysis, vendor scorecards, market research, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership assessments.
Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
Risk & Compliance Management
Ensure adherence to procurement policies, processes, and systems for all IT spend.
Oversee vendor contract renewals and approvals in line with governance requirements.
Leadership
Provide clear direction, coaching, and development of team members.
Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions to enhance performance.
Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and technology leadership teams.
Influence decision‑making through effective communication and strategic insights.
You will bring:
Degree/Dip in Business, Procurement, ICT/Technology, or similar.
Minimum 9 years' experience in IT Category Management, with 4 or more years in a team leadership role.
Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
Strong communication skills alongside stakeholder management. xcfaprz
