Job Description We are looking for a
Senior Data Engineer
with strong expertise in
dbt and AWS‑based data platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain
data transformation pipelines using dbt.
Build reusable and scalable logic using
Jinja and dbt macros.
Work extensively with
dbt configurations, project structure, and parameterization.
Implement and optimize
dbt materializations
(incremental, snapshot, table, view, ephemeral).
Define and maintain
data models aligned with business requirements.
Apply
data quality checks and testing strategies
using dbt and relevant packages.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve
data transformation and pipeline issues.
Contribute to best practices in
data modeling and dbt development.
Qualifications
Strong hands‑on experience with
dbt (Core and/or Cloud)
–
3+ years
Deep understanding of
dbt internals :
project configuration (e.g. dbt_project.yml, profiles)
variables, parameters, environments
macros and Jinja templating
Experience working within
AWS ecosystem.
Solid understanding of
data modeling concepts.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Nice‑to‑have Skills:
Experience with
Amazon Redshift.
Familiarity with
Data Vault modeling concepts.
Experience with orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow / MWAA).
Knowledge of
CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
Exposure to
data observability tools
(e.g. dbt packages, monitoring tools).
