Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

  • Provide gastroenterology coverage from May 1, 7am through May 8, 7am

  • Handle inpatient consults, emergency department consults, and transfers

  • Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders

  • Conduct injection of varices and diagnostic/therapeutic ERCP procedures

  • Perform PEG placement and esophageal dilatation/manometry with interpretation

  • Complete small bowel biopsies and lower GI endoscopy including sigmoidoscopy

  • Perform flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy as well as colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision

  • Conduct liver biopsies and manage Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion

  • Board certification required with fellowship training preferred

  • ACLS certification required

  • ERCP experience preferred, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) experience preferred
