Radiology - Interventional Physician

Coverage Needed:

• Start Date: June 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Schedule:
  • Weekend coverage: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (onsite)
  • Additional weekday schedule to be determined either 7a-5p or 7a-7a
• Estimated Shifts/Month: 20+
• Consecutive shifts preferred

Clinical Details:

• Remote reads supported by the team on Saturday & Sunday
• Perform a wide range of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures supporting both inpatient and outpatient services
• EMR: EPIC
• Department manages a diverse procedural mix including biopsies, drainage procedures, vascular access, GI, GU, and oncology-related interventions
• Common Procedures Include:
  • CT and ultrasound-guided biopsies (lung, thyroid, renal, liver, bone, lymph node, bone marrow)
  • Drain placements and management (abscess drains, chest tubes, drain exchanges)
  • Biliary procedures
  • GI and GU procedures
  • Vascular procedures and access
  • Hemodialysis access procedures
  • Oncology-related interventional procedures
• Support Staff: Work closely with referring physicians, hospital teams, and procedural staff
• Additional Expectations:
  • Ability to interpret advanced imaging studies related to interventional radiology (e.g., CTA, MRA, and complex cross-sectional imaging for procedural planning and follow-up)
  • Willingness to support general diagnostic radiology reads as part of regular responsibilities
  • Participation in call coverage, including management of urgent and emergent IR cases

Requirements:

• Active Illinois license
• Clean background
• Certifications: ACLS, DEA, CSR
• Minimum Years Experience: 1
• Board Certified
