About the Role DecisionHR is looking for a motivated and driven Sales Intern to support our sales team in generating new opportunities and strengthening our pipeline. This role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced sales environment, where you will contribute to real outreach efforts, lead qualifications, and client‑facing initiatives that directly support business growth.
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn the fundamentals of the sales process from the ground up. This intern will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to help identify prospects, maintain accurate pipeline data, and support the preparation of materials that help close deals. If you are competitive, curious, and excited about building a career in sales, this is a great place to start.
About the Program
Location: Saint Petersburg, FL
Hours: 20‑40 hours per week, flexible schedule to accommodate class schedule
Weekly gatherings with interns, managers, and/or executives
You will gain valuable, real‑world experience that will initiate a smooth transition into your career
All internship opportunities are paid
Primary responsibilities
Conduct outbound prospecting activities (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach) to generate new sales opportunities
Qualify inbound and outbound leads to identify potential clients and schedule meetings for sales representatives
Maintain and update CRM with accurate prospect and pipeline information
Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership on outreach campaigns and messaging
Assist with preparation of proposals, presentations, and client‑facing materials
Provide administrative and operational support to the sales team as needed
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing sales development activities
Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by sales leadership
Required skills and characteristics
Driven, versatile, analytical, intelligent, quick at learning new concepts, can communicate effectively, and familiarity with business principles
Familiarity with Microsoft Office – most importantly Excel
Preferred skills, characteristics, and knowledge are largely dependent upon field of study and specific area of focus of internship
