Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies and rules to detect anomalous trends across all lines of business using statistical and advanced data‑science techniques.
Create core analytical capabilities utilizing SAS, SQL, Python, R, and Big Data tools.
Analyze customer and transactional data to identify evolving fraud patterns and enhance fraud‑detection strategies.
Assess data‑analysis results with statistical tools, build decision trees, and formulate rules for triggering fraud alerts.
Forecast the effects of potential solutions or new processes on fraud detection, customer impact rates, operational capacity planning, and loss recovery.
Design tactical and strategic Management Information System (MIS) dashboards with Tableau for key stakeholders.
Oversee end‑to‑end testing, including test‑case documentation, rule‑performance monitoring, fine‑tuning, and strategy implementation.
Support a telecommuting or hybrid work schedule as permitted by Citi policies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics/Science, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of related experience.
Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, R, and Big Data technologies, with statistical expertise (regression analysis, classification models).
Experience generating monthly and quarterly reports with Excel and Tableau, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders and management teams.
Skilled in UNIX‑Bash scripting for directory navigation, file management, and environment setup.
Ability to perform risk‑reward trade‑off analysis using data‑mining techniques.
Strong quantitative and analytic skills to derive patterns and trends.
Alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) with three (3) years of experience may qualify.
