ABOUT THE ROLE
As Senior Material Planner, you will play a pivotal role in aligning material availability with the Master Production Schedule across Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Packaging operations. You will be a central point of coordination across planning, procurement, quality, and manufacturing teams, ensuring materials are available, risks are managed, and production continuity is maintained.
You’ll also contribute to ongoing process improvements, system enhancements, and operational excellence initiatives, helping to shape how material planning is executed across the site.
Own and maintain accurate material master data within SAP
Lead material readiness forums and drive cross-functional alignment
Execute MRP activities to ensure supply meets production demand
Manage purchase requisitions through to purchase orders and supplier engagement
Oversee end-to-end inventory management (including expiry, safety stock, and lead times)
Monitor supplier performance and maintain forecast alignment
Identify and resolve supply risks through proactive stakeholder engagement
Contribute to Supply Chain Reviews and planning performance analysis
Support continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
Act xcfaprz as a key point of contact for material planning in cross-functional and leadership forums
ABOUT THE PERSON
Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline
At least 6-7 years’ experience in supply chain planning/purchasing, ideally within a regulated or pharmaceutical environment
Strong SAP experience is essential
Proven ability to manage material planning end-to-end in a complex environment
Experience working within GMP environments
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability
A confident communicator who can influence across functions
Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
