G2 are currently looking for a Sales Manager to join our construction client working in the Datacentre industry. The client is ideally looking for someone with B2B (business to business) sales experience in the construction sector, datacentre experience is very beneficial.

The role can be home based, any EU location, they do require an EU passport for free unlimited travel throughout Europe and the client support datacentre projects throughout Europe.

Our client is a specialist subcontractor operating within the civil, architectural, and structural construction sectors, supporting major data centre developers, general contractors, and hyperscale clients across Europe.

The company delivers high-quality structural and architectural packages within mission-critical environments and has built a reputation for reliability, safety, and technical excellence.

As part of continued growth within the European data centre market, the company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to expand its client base and develop strategic relationships with leading data centre developers and construction partners.

Role Overview

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new business opportunities across the European data centre construction market. B2B sales.

This role will focus on identifying opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting tender opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships with developers, main contractors, and project stakeholders.

The role is remote-based with regular travel across Europe to meet clients and attend industry events.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the European data centre construction market.
  • Build relationships with data centre developers, hyperscalers, general contractors, and project consultants. The focus will be on general/main contractors.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to support the company’s expansion across Europe.
  • Maintain and grow a pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish long-term partnerships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
  • Act as a primary commercial contact for prospective clients during the early engagement phase.
  • Work closely with internal estimating, technical, and project teams to support bids and proposals.
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial proposals and presentations.
  • Ensure opportunities progress effectively through the sales pipeline.
  • Monitor trends within the European data centre construction market.
  • Identify new regions, developers, and contractors entering the sector.
  • Provide feedback to senior leadership regarding market developments and client needs.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven sales or business development experience within data centre construction, mission-critical infrastructure, or specialist subcontracting. B2B Sales.
  • Strong network within European data centre developers, general contractors, or hyperscalers.
  • Experience working with any datacentre packages – construction or operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and convert new business opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience working with tier 1 construction contractors or specialist subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of European data centre markets (UK, Ireland, Nordics, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, etc.).
  • Experience with complex construction procurement processes and tendering.
  • Multilingual capability (English required; additional European languages advantageous).
