Senior Cloud Solution Architect
for our Dublin Public Sector Client
Excellent Daily Rate – One year contract + Rolling Contract
PFH Technology is seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect with strong AWS and Microsoft Azure expertise to lead the design, assessment and integration of cloud-based solutions for a public sector client.
The role requires hands‑on experience designing secure, scalable and resilient cloud architectures, alongside the ability to assess vendor‑proposed solutions and manage cost, security and integration considerations.
This position plays a key role in supporting cloud platforms that underpin Digital Evidence Management Systems (DEMS) and related services, ensuring data integrity, security and compliance throughout the solution lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Design and architect cloud solutions using AWS and Microsoft Azure, with hands‑on involvement in implementation and integration.
Assess and evaluate vendor‑proposed cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with technical, operational and business requirements.
Carry out detailed cloud cost assessments, including AWS and Azure consumption models, licensing, optimisation and ongoing operational costs.
Gather, analyse and translate business and technical requirements into robust cloud solution designs.
Support the creation of DEMS RFTs (Request for Tender), with a focus on AWS and Azure architecture, hosting models and integration requirements.
Lead or support the integration of cloud platforms with DEMS solutions, assessing the full technical and operational impact, including data security and chain‑of‑evidence considerations.
Lead or support the integration of internal systems, such as Garda systems, into AWS‑or Azure‑hosted DEMS platforms, including the design and implementation of public upload portals.
Lead or support the integration of external data sources, including public CCTV feeds, into cloud‑based solutions.
Provide architectural governance, technical assurance and stakeholder support throughout the solution lifecycle.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience working as a Cloud Solution Architect or in a senior cloud architecture role.
Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure services.
Experience designing secure, highly available and scalable cloud architectures in AWS and Azure.
Experience assessing and comparing third‑party or vendor‑provided cloud solutions.
Strong understanding of AWS and Azure cost models, including consumption‑based pricing, optimisation and cost control.
Experience working with Digital Evidence Management Systems or similar secure, regulated platforms is highly desirable.
Strong system integration experience, including APIs, data ingestion pipelines and external system connectivity.
Good understanding of cloud security, compliance and chain‑of‑evidence requirements.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and requirements‑gathering skills.
Experience working within law enforcement, justice or public‑sector environments.
Knowledge of data governance, compliance and privacy regulations relevant to AWS and Azure environments. xcfaprz
