General Description

The Physician is responsible for managing and organizing multiple operations of the practice. Daily responsibilities may include :

· Patient Care

· Responsible for training clinical staff

· Manage vendor relationships

· Coordinating all office workflows and patient information

· Share data reports, practice financial information and other relevant information with physicians on an on-going basis

· Oversee the Medical Supplies/Vaccines ordering

· Oversee the NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home application process and contribute as needed

· Responsible for maintaining NCQA standards and guidelines practice-wide

· Responsible for identifying ad-hoc projects for the practice and/or recognition programs

· Become Meaningful Use expert and train staff

· Run reports as needed and set goals (registry reports for population management policy, Quality Measures data reports & MAQ dashboard reports)

· Incorporate patient portal into the practice, assign roles, adjust workflows, train staff

· To sign or close all documents, actions or encounters daily

· Bilingual (English and Spanish)

work experience / qualifications

- Pediatrics residency/primary care experience

- Computer proficiency

- Customer service skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Experience managing staff

- Budget/Financial expertise a plus

education requirements

- MD/Board certified
