Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

Seeking a Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens work first week of February 2023, (December 30 through February 3).

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• EHR charting Athena Health
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

• Previous Nurse Practitioner experience
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• DEA
• BLS

We are looking for a responsible, well-respected nurse practitioner to work closely with our RHC practice to conduct patient exams, virtual visits, chronic care management, EPSDT/DSNP, DOT physicals, Medicare Annual Wellness visits. This is a position requiring the nurse practitioner to work on site.
Salary : $92K - $120K Per Annual
Responsibilities
• Conduct virtual video visits for patients
• Ask intuitive questions to discover the root cause of illness
• Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patients medical history
• Prescribe medications and provide comprehensive insight into medication management
• Maintain a comprehensive medical record of the patients complete health history
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion between patients and clinician
Requirements
• Must be active in at least one US state - multiple states preferred
• Two years of practice experience
• Board certified
• Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
• Proficiency in common medication indications, side effects, and contraindications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Respect for patient confidentiality
• Compassionate and approachable
• Responsible and trustworthy
