THE ROLE We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to enhance our industrial services business.
RMS Fusion is seeking a high-performing, technically strong sales professional to drive strategic growth within our industrial services business. This is not a transactional sales role—this position requires the ability to understand complex component repair challenges, engage with engineering and operations teams, and position RMS Fusion as a value-added partner.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical knowledge, industry relationships, and a proven ability to close high-value work.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive revenue growth by developing new business within target industrial markets.
Build and manage long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including engineers, maintenance managers, and procurement teams.
Identify opportunities for component repair, coating, grinding, and refurbishment services.
Evaluate customer requirements, drawings, and specifications to define scope and recommend solutions.
Lead the quoting and negotiation process for complex, high-value jobs.
Collaborate closely with operations to ensure technical alignment, execution success, and customer satisfaction.
Maintain a strong presence in the field through regular customer visits and industry engagement.
Provide market intelligence and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
Core Capabilities You Will Represent.
Thermal spray and advanced coating technologies
Large-capacity O.D. and vertical grinding
Repair and refurbishment of rotating and reciprocating equipment
Precision machining and metal finishing services
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES General:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in critical equipment across oil & gas, power generation, and heavy industrial markets, service sales and support.
Proven high performing sales presence in region.
Track record of achieving both customer satisfaction and profitable sales.
Ability to identify opportunities and communicate them to RMS.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or higher education from an accredited institution.
Or equivalent years of outside sales experience in industrial services, machining, or manufacturing.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Strong technical background in rotating equipment, coatings, machining, or repair services.
Proven track record of developing new business and closing complex deals.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Established industry relationships within oil & gas, power generation, or related sectors preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Self-directed, accountable, and results-oriented.
The position may be based in any of our RMS locations or remotely.
Travel time is expected to be 75% +.
This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Additional hours, including evenings or weekends may be required based on project needs.
This position can be required to participate in the company random or customer specific drug and alcohol screening and background check.
Ability to act professionally under stressful situations.
Able to understand, read, write and speak English.
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
Authorized to work in the United States.
RMS Inc. may have government contracts that impose specific requirements on employees working on those projects. If an employee does not meet these requirements, they may be reassigned to a different location or be ineligible to work on certain assignments.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may work / enter a shop or field service environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts. While the work area may be described as generally clean, safe, and "not loud", there will be machining operations that generate moderate noise.
