Build new data pipelines:
The Group is implementing new platforms to collect marketing campaigns, global syndicated, eCommerce and Open Innovation R&D data and the Data Engineer will be part of those project teams to understand the full collection cycle. They will then take over responsibility – together with IT partners – to build and manage the pipelines and bring the data into Ferrero IT architecture for modelling and reporting. An important part of any new data pipeline will be to automate data quality and business logic implementation and verification. Alignment with Group masterdata and/or domain data governance will also be required, where relevant. Manage existing data pipelines and databases:
Working in Group tools to manage existing pipelines and databases on retail panel (sellout) and consumer surveys. Perform data extractions and/or visualisations as needed by stakeholders. Support data governance initiatives:
The Data Engineer will be responsible for supporting projects related to the standardisation of data. About You:
Education & Experience: Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Data Management, Information Systems, Information Science or a related quantitative field. Two to five years of work experience relevant to data engineering responsibilities and tasks; preferably within a data science team or on modelling projects. Experience working in cross‑functional teams and cross‑cultural teams. Required IT Skills: Strong experience with ETL tools (Microsoft Fabric, Fabric Data Engineering, Databricks, Analysis Services); SQL database design / architecture / management; and data catalog technology (Purview + Databricks Unity Catalog). Proficiency in Python and Spark for ETL pipelines. Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques; MLOps, Python would be a plus. Familiarity with AI Platforms (MS AI Foundry), big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.), cloud computing platforms (MS Azure) and Git code versioning through Azure DevOps. Understanding data security and compliance. Personal Skills: Energy, good judgment, proactivity, a sense of urgency and demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, service and business integrity; curiosity, Curiosity, problem solving and genuine interest in data, technology and the FMCG industry; Other languages and international experience a plus.
