Insurance Associate
Pay - $27 to $34 an hour

Summary
The Insurance Associate is a contract-to-hire role on behalf of LHH Recruitment Solutions for our client. This position supports insurance program renewals and coverage placements for internal and external clients across multiple lines of coverage, including general liability, auto, workers' compensation, professional liability, pollution, cyber, crime, fiduciary, and Directors & Officers insurance. The role partners closely with internal teams and insurance brokers to ensure accurate data management, compliance, and timely insurance support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support annual insurance program renewals by gathering, organizing, and validating insurance data
- Participate in insurance renewal meetings and assist with related follow-up activities
- Enter, maintain, and update insurance data within the Risk Management Information System (RMIS)
- Regularly review and update Property COPE information in RMIS
- Organize, save, and maintain insurance documentation including certificates of insurance, binders, policies, and invoices for team access
- Assist with certificates of insurance requests and tracking of issued and received COIs
- Support DMV insurance filings, auto ID card requests, and coverage requests
- Maintain workers' compensation posting notice lists and coordinate distribution
- Review contractual insurance requirements and provide feedback or recommended updates
- Assist the insurance team with responding to insurance-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Project Risk team and assist in developing insurance program training materials
- Support insurance-related tasks associated with mergers and acquisitions
- Build and maintain working relationships with insurance brokers, carriers, and internal partners including legal, finance, M&A, and other departments
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 2-4 years of experience in insurance, risk management, or claims
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered
- CPCU, ARM, or similar insurance designation preferred
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and translate it into actionable information
- Self-motivated with strong project management ability and capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across all organizational levels
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience working with insurance-related risk management information systems
