  • Support the Project Manager in developing the construction programme, short-term look-ahead plans, and equipment/material schedules.
  • Conduct site visits and develop site establishment schedules.
  • Assist with project validation and become familiar with change management processes.
  • Implement site safety starter packs and contribute to the HSEQ plan.
  • Set up site establishment in line with project requirements.
  • Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments with subcontractors.
  • Review and sign off construction drawings prior to execution.
  • Support benchmarking of installation practices and quality procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day site productivity and operational performance.
  • Develop and implement daily action plans covering HSEQ, productivity, and workforce coordination.
  • Assist in expediting major equipment and material deliveries.
  • Maintain a detailed and accurate site diary.
  • Attend and chair coordination meetings with subcontractors.
  • Identify and manage variations in collaboration with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
  • Ensure subcontractors complete labour allocation sheets and maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Produce short-term programmes aligned with the master construction schedule.
  • Update and report progress against the master programme on a weekly basis.
  • Effectively manage subcontractor supervision to ensure efficient productivity and programme adherence.
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure availability of work fronts.
  • Coordinate with the client to align building and services activities.
  • Work closely with other supervisors to ensure effective coordination between M&E services.
  • Integrate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth coordination of trades and installation processes.
  • Take ownership of site issues and drive timely resolution in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Ensure toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings are carried out regularly.
  • Maintain plant logs and ensure all equipment undergoes weekly safety inspections.
  • Ensure operatives work safely, use appropriate PPE, and follow approved method statements.
  • Enforce compliance with Health & Safety policies, including permit systems, audits, and inspections.
  • Conduct daily safety walk-arounds, promoting a proactive “don’t walk by” culture.
  • Drive strong H&S behaviours and adherence to site safety standards and rules.
  • Plan and coordinate delivery of materials and plant.
  • Mark up drawings in line with inspection and testing requirements.
  • Ensure Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) are followed, driving a zero-snags approach.
  • Coordinate snagging and inspections, ensuring works are completed to required standards.
  • Ensure all client-supplied (free issue) equipment is properly received, checked, and documented prior to sign-off.
  • Liaise with commissioning teams to ensure all systems are tested, demonstrated, and handed over.
  • Ensure all safety and life systems are complete, tested, and certified.
  • Produce and issue accurate as-built/marked-up drawings.
  • Support site demobilisation, including labour, plant, and materials.
  • Ensure all statutory notices, schematics, and documentation are in place in line with completion requirements.
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
  • Support the Quantity Surveyor with commercial activities where required.
  • Ensure a professional site presence and uphold company standards at all times.
  • Integrate fully with the wider project team.
  • Participate in and support training and development initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification or third-level degree in Building Services / Engineering / Construction Management.
  • Minimum 3–5+ years’ experience in a Supervisor or Site Management role within M&E or construction projects.
  • Proven experience delivering mechanical and/or electrical installations on medium to large-scale projects (data centres, commercial, industrial, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site coordination.
  • Solid knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Experience implementing and managing QA/QC procedures, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and snagging processes.
  • Good commercial awareness, with the ability to identify variations and support cost control.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with experience managing subcontractors and site teams. xcfaprz
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with digital construction tools (e.g., document control systems, project tracking tools).
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a multidisciplinary team environment
