Optym is seeking a Software Engineer – Frontend to join our AI product team as a strong individual contributor with growing leadership responsibilities. This role is focused on building scalable, high-performance frontend systems while driving UI architecture, design consistency, and innovation across AI-driven applications. You will play a key role in shaping frontend standards, contributing to a unified design system, and exploring modern UI paradigms for AI-powered workflows. This includes working on micro-frontend architectures, design-to-code integrations, and scalable state management patterns. Key Responsibilities
Build and ship scalable frontend applications using
Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS Contribute to and maintain a
unified component library and design system , ensuring consistency across products Architect and implement
micro-frontend solutions
using
Module Federation, Import Maps, or similar approaches Develop and integrate
MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers
(e.g., Figma MCP) for design-to-code and UI automation workflows Implement robust
state management solutions
using
Context API, Zustand, or similar modern patterns Build reliable
real-time UX patterns
using
SSE, WebSockets, and fallback polling strategies Optimize performance for large-scale applications (rendering, memory usage, virtualization, and bundle optimization) Ensure
accessibility, responsiveness, and high UI quality standards
across applications Lead and mentor frontend engineers, contributing to
UI architecture decisions and engineering standards Drive
UI-focused R&D initiatives , experimenting with new interaction patterns and AI-driven user experiences Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver cohesive solutions Contribute to testing, code reviews, CI/CD processes, and release quality Required Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3–6 years of experience building production-grade web applications Strong expertise in
TypeScript, React, and modern frontend architecture patterns Hands-on experience with
Next.js and API integration strategies Proven experience designing or contributing to
component libraries or design systems Experience with
state management (Context API, Zustand, or equivalent) Solid understanding of
micro-frontend architecture
and scalable frontend design Experience building
real-time UI systems (SSE/WebSockets/polling) Familiarity with
design-to-code workflows and MCP-like integrations Strong software engineering fundamentals: modular design, testing, CI/CD, and version control Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
AI-driven or AI-assisted user interfaces Familiarity with design tools integration (e.g., Figma MCP, automated UI pipelines) Experience in aviation, logistics, or operations-focused domains Experience leading or mentoring a
frontend/UI team Strong interest in
UI architecture, platform thinking, and scalable frontend ecosystems Exposure to
