Your Role as a TeacherAs a Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in enhancing the learning experiences of our youngest pupils, who have a diverse range of special educational and learning needs. You will collaborate with teaching staff to empower students to gain independence and fully engage in the curriculum and school life. This position is based at Kirby Moor School.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, addressing the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Support the class team in creating learning opportunities and fostering positive behaviors.
- Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with other staff to meet individual needs.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to drive engagement and achieve positive learning outcomes in a nurturing environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
- Previous successful teaching experience.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques.

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS Check, with the cost covered by Kirby Moor School.
