Your New Role Due to significant growth across our data centre portfolio in Europe, Kirby is expanding its CSA Engineering team.
We are recruiting an additional CSA Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data centre projects from design coordination through construction, commissioning and handover.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CSA Engineer seeking high-impact experience across civil, structural and architectural packages within fast-paced, technically complex data centre environments.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team including MEP engineering, QA/QC, commissioning, planning, BIM, project management and commercial functions.
The successful candidate will be supported by senior colleagues and integrated into an experienced, high-performing delivery team What You'll Need to Succeed Degree-level qualification (BSc or higher) in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, or related discipline Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience in CSA engineering, preferably on large construction or data centre projects Willingness to undertake site-based work in Ireland, the UK or Europe Strong understanding of construction drawings, site coordination and installation standards Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractor interfaces Kirby supports hybrid working where possible, though project roles typically require site presence Roles & Responsibilities You will support the CSA Engineering team with the following activities: Design Coordination & Pre-Construction Review civil, structural and architectural design packages for compliance with project requirements Coordinate design information between CSA, MEP, BIM and external designers Raise and track RFIs, design queries and technical clarifications Ensure CSA design interfaces with MEP, fire stopping, building envelope and underground services Participate in design coordination workshops, model reviews and clash detection sessions Support the development of buildability reviews and sequencing plans Ensure the design meets safety, quality and client standards from concept to IFC Construction Phase Delivery Oversee day-to-day site activities relating to CSA works, ensuring alignment with the design and programme Coordinate with structural steel, concrete, architectural and faade subcontractors Monitor progress, installation quality, material compliance and workmanship Carry out regular site inspections, supporting QA/QC teams in verifying compliance Work closely with MEP teams to ensure smooth interfaces between CSA and mechanical/electrical installation Support Temporary Works Coordinator with reviews, approvals and checks Track changes, variations and potential risks; escalate where required Assist in resolving site issues proactively to avoid delays or rework Quality, Testing & Handover Ensure all CSA works are delivered in accordance with specifications, industry standards and client requirements Support commissioning and pre-handover readiness for CSA-related systems Review as-built drawings, O&M documentation and certification from subcontractors Verify that redlines, quality records and test packs are complete prior to handover Support close-out of snags, defects and quality observations Post-Construction / Completion Review and approve as-built documentation Ensure accurate updates to H&S files and project handover packages Participate in lessons-learned workshops for continuous improvement To be considered for this role you will be redirected to and must complete the application process on our careers page. xcfaprz
