Cybersecurity Engineer

eir business talent are seeking applications for a Cybersecurity Engineer, this is a day rate contracted located in Dublin, the role is hybrid.

• 
  
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in cybersecurity engineering, infrastructure security, or systems administration in a complex environment
  
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
  
  • 
    
  • Networking, firewalls, and network segmentation
    
  • EDR and SIEM platforms
    
  • Vulnerability management
    
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure security controls
    
  
  
• Solid understanding of:
  
  • 
    
  • Active Directory and IAM/PAM
    
  • Cloud security (Azure)
    
  • Zero Trust principles
    
  
  
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance:
  
  • 
    
  • ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2
    
  
  
• Proven experience developing and maintaining:
  
  • 
    
  • Cybersecurity policies, standards, and playbooks
    
  
  

• 
  
• Incident response coordination and investigation
  
• Threat hunting, log analysis, or digital forensics support, regulatory engagement, or board‑level reporting
  
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts
  

• 
  
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  
• Ability to investigate alerts, assess risks, and recommend practical improvements
  
• Clear communication skills - able to translate technical issues for non‑technical stakeholders
  
• Experience working with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders
