Associate Director

Downey Osborne is partnering with a leading professional services firm. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant seeking progression to Director level. You will lead the Audit & Accounts team, manage a diverse client portfolio, and work closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and business growth.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  
• Strong experience in audit, accounts and client management
  
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage audit engagements
  
• Strong technical knowledge including FRS 102, IFRS, and International Standards on Auditing
  
• Commercial mindset with strong communication skills
  
• Organised and comfortable working in a fast paced environment

• Lead and mentor the Audit & Accounts team
  
• Manage a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
  
• Review audits and financial statements to ensure compliance
  
• Maintain strong client relationships
  
• Support strategic initiatives across the business

• Conduct performance reviews and support team development
  
• Review corporation tax returns and ensure timely filings
  
• Identify opportunities to expand client services
  
• Monitor work in progress and support commercial outcomes
