Job Description
Job Purpose Leads profitable growth of the residential replacement sales division while serving as a player-coach. Owns pipeline performance, closing strategy, price integrity, and the installation department handoff/execution alignment. Ensures every sold job is scoped correctly, documented clearly, financed properly, and coordinated for a smooth customer experience. Key Duties & Responsibilities · Own sales strategy and performance: build annual targets, weekly forecasts, pipeline standards, and execution cadence. · Conduct in-home sales consultations and close complex replacement opportunities; model consultative selling and ethical practices. · Manage and coach comfort advisors (salesmen): training, ride-alongs, call reviews, role-play, and performance management. · Maintain pricing discipline and margin targets; approve discounts and ensure consistent Good/Better/Best presentation. · Oversee installation department reporting and execution alignment: ensure install crews have complete job packets, correct equipment scope, and clear notes. · Coordinate scheduling and handoffs with Office/Dispatch and Service Operations; remove friction and prevent customer confusion. · Ensure financing presentation and documentation compliance; maintain relationships with finance partners. · Track marketing lead sources and conversion; partner with marketing firm to improve lead quality and ROI. · Manage distributor/manufacturer relationships; stay current on promotions, rebates, and dealer requirements. · Review job outcomes (install callbacks, scope misses, margin performance) and implement process improvements across sales-to-install lifecycle. · Be the first point-of-contact post-installation to ensure customer satisfaction and receipt of final invoice. Qualifications · 5+ years HVAC replacement sales experience with proven closing results. · Leadership/coaching experience and ability to hold team accountable. · Strong financial literacy: margins, discounting impacts, and price integrity. · Comfort with financing conversations and ability to follow compliance standards. · Excellent written and verbal communication; strong professional presence. Requirements & Working Conditions · Valid driver's license with acceptable record; local travel for appointments required. · Holds a minimum H3 license, H2 + H3 preferred. · Evening/weekend availability as dictated by customer schedules and peak season demand. · Ability to use ServiceTitan, Right Suite Universal, and proposal tools consistently and accurately. · Must maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and ethical sales standards. Compensation · Base salary: $55,000-$85,000 plus commission/override and profit sharing. · Typical Total Annual Pay: $95,000-$160,000+ depending on volume, close rate, and margin. · Profit Sharing eligibility will reward margin and clean job handoff.
