This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in civil and utility infrastructure works.
The successful candidate will spend most of their time on-site, supporting project engineering, construction coordination, and programme management across civil and utility projects including ducting, drainage, telecoms, footpaths, and water infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the planning, design support, and execution of civil and utility projects Monitor on-site progress, report issues, and support project managers and senior engineers Support preparation of project documentation, reports, and quality control checks Liaise with subcontractors, stakeholders, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery Contribute to health & safety compliance and ensure all works meet company and client standards Requirements: Civil or structural engineering degree (or equivalent) Some construction or site experience is advantageous, preferably in civil works or utilities Strong organisational, communication, and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or Civil 3D experience is a plus Positive attitude and willingness to work on-site across multiple locations around Cork Available to start immediately or on short notice Salary & Benefits: €35k€45k depending on experience Hands-on exposure to a wide range of civil and utility projects Opportunity to develop under guidance from senior engineers and project managers Supportive team environment with clear career progression If you are a motivated Junior Engineer looking to gain practical on-site experience and grow with a well-established civil and utilities contractor, please send your CV or contact Amy Maguire for a confidential discussion. xcfaprz
