Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be a hybrid position, working out of our site in Leatherhead.
Your future duties and responsibilities
We are seeking a proven and experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong track record of successful project delivery, ideally with MOD Defence experience, to join our in-flight delivery team. The role involves providing project management oversight in support of the Deployed Director across multiple projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex systems engineering projects within fixed-price, Waterfall methodology environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight and support across multiple workstreams, ensuring the timely delivery of project goals in line with contractual obligations.
• Lead, plan, organise, and execute delivery activities while maintaining focus on key deliverables and timelines.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective delivery of complex systems engineering solutions.
• Maintain sufficient and appropriate staffing resources across workstreams to meet project demands.
• Control the project schedule, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including regular reporting to the client's Project Manager.
• Track deliverables as configurable items and ensure they are managed under accurate configuration control.
• Lead risk management activities, identifying potential risks and mitigating them proactively.
• Handle conflicts and negotiate to resolve project issues with key stakeholders.
• Support and lead the bid activity, ensuring proposals follow the BEMF (Bid Engineering and Management Framework) process, are sound, and agreed upon with the client.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Proven track record of successful, fixed-price delivery projects in complex environments using Waterfall methodology
• Extensive experience collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex systems engineering
• Experience as a Senior Project Manager
• Strong communication, presentation, and report-writing skills
• Client and stakeholder management expertise
