Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid (3 day remote | Mon & Friday Onsite)

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement applications for computer systems, ensuring they meet user expectations and company standards.
Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to gather requirements and ensure the application meets user needs.
Conduct code reviews to ensure maintainability and scalability of the application and oversee the development process to adhere to best practices.
Evaluate and implement software integrations, ensuring applications can scale effectively and perform optimally under varying loads.
Ensure that applications comply with security standards and data privacy regulations, protecting against potential vulnerabilities.
Provide guidance and support to development teams, helping them understand architectural principles and best practices.
Review existing system architectures and suggest improvements or alternatives.
Identify and resolve any application and data issues.
Monitor and manage the regular updates and upgrades of the software applications.

Qualifications – Here’s What You Need
Level 1: 1‑3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
Level 2: 4‑7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Level 3: 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks; may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
All Levels: Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#), software design patterns, and system architectures (e.g., microservices, service‑oriented architecture).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their architectural principles.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
Previous experience in software development and architecture, with a proven track record of successful application design and implementation.
Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently.

Professional office environment, with the ability to work on‑site in the main office.
Must reside in the Austin area.
Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods of time.
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at a computer screen.
May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
Travel costs, per diem, and other related expenses must be pre‑approved in compliance with State of Texas travel guidelines.
