This role exists due to continued growth and increasing demand across multiple medical device programs. Vantedge Medical is expanding production capacity at its Wheeling, Illinois facility to support long-term medical OEM partnerships.
As a Swiss CNC Machine Operator, you’ll play a critical role in producing high-precision medical components that directly support life-saving technologies used in
robotic-assisted surgery, orthopedics, surgical instruments, and dental applications .

The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Operate
multiple Swiss-style CNC machines
in a team-based production environment
Monitor production runs and ensure parts meet strict quality standards
Perform
in-process inspections
using calipers, micrometers, and visual inspection tools
Make
tool changes and offsets
per documented layouts (training provided)
Perform routine daily machine maintenance to keep production running smoothly
Read and interpret blueprints and basic GD&T (training available)
Inspect parts using
manual inspection tools and programmed CMM equipment
Communicate job status, quality concerns, and production updates with teammates and leadership
Follow all company safety and quality procedures
This is a hands-on production role with opportunities to expand skills in inspection, setup support, and advanced medical machining.

What We’re Looking For
Required
2+ years of CNC machine operating experience (Swiss preferred)
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Experience using calipers and micrometers for part inspection
Comfortable standing, bending, and walking throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly
Strong communication and team-focused mindset
Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Preferred (Not Required)
Swiss CNC experience in medical manufacturing
Exposure to GD&T
Experience with CMM inspection
Interest in growing into advanced setup or technical roles
