Ergo are seeking an Automation Engineer with Ignition SCADA/HMI experience for a long-term contract opportunity in Dublin.

The successful candidate will support manufacturing systems by developing, configuring, and maintaining SCADA/HMI solutions using Inductive Automation Ignition with a focus on system reliability, GMP compliance, and integration with automation infrastructure.
This is a hybrid with great day rates in a leading pharmaceutical company.
What will you do?
- Develop and customize Ignition SCADA/HMI applications, including Vision/Perspective modules, dashboards, alarms, tags/UDTs, and Python scripting.
- Integrate SCADA with PLCs/control systems via OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Kepware.
- Ensure GMP compliance through validated configurations, data historization to SQL databases, and audit trails.
- Maintain system uptime, troubleshoot production issues, and support digital manufacturing initiatives.
- Manage Windows/Active Directory for secure access in regulated settings
You should have experience in the following:
- PLC integration expertise and familiarity with Kepware/OPC communication. xcfaprz

- Understanding of digital manufacturing reliability
