*The Role*
We're looking for a Data Engineer who takes pride in building things properly. Not just pipelines that run, but pipelines that are clean, documented, scalable, and trusted by the people who depend on them.
You'll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to design and deliver data infrastructure that powers real decisions. If you care about data quality, good architecture, and doing the work right the first time, you'll fit in here.
*What You'll Be Doing*
* Designing and building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Python and dbt
* Managing and optimising data models in Snowflake, using its native SQL dialect
* Building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS (S3, EC2)
* Integrating diverse data sources via APIs into robust, well-structured pipelines
* Implementing data governance practices — encryption, masking, access control — to maintain compliance
* Managing version control and supporting CI/CD workflows via GitHub
* Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and deliver reliable, documented solutions
* Troubleshooting data issues quickly and communicating clearly when something's broken
*What We're Looking For*
*Technical skills : you should be comfortable with all of these:*
* Python : your primary programming language for data engineering work
* SQL : specifically the Snowflake dialect
* dbt : for transformation, testing, and documentation
* Snowflake : data modelling and warehousing
* AWS : S3 for storage, EC2 for compute
* GitHub : version control and CI/CD pipelines
* Docker : containerisation as part of your standard engineering practice
* API integration : connecting to external data sources as part of pipeline design
*What good looks like beyond the tools:*
* You design data structures that are efficient today and still make sense in two years
* You treat testing and documentation as part of the job, not an afterthought
* You think about security and governance from the start, not at the end
* You can explain a complex data problem to a non-technical stakeholder without losing them

Pay: £34,277.58-£96,312.64 per year
