At Magnum Machining, the Lead CNC Programmer plays a critical role in driving the
Art-to-Part process
— turning customer data files into efficient, reliable CNC programs that support fast delivery without sacrificing quality. This position is central to keeping production moving, improving processes, and supporting machinists on the floor.

The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Program, optimize, and troubleshoot
CNC toolpaths using Mastercam
Support
prototype, first-article, and short-run production
jobs
Collaborate closely with machinists, QC, and engineering
Improve machining strategies for speed, accuracy, and repeatability
Support
Just-In-Time (JIT)
and quick-turn customer requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement in programming standards and workflows
This is a
hands-on programming role
in a fast-paced shop — ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and seeing parts move quickly from concept to reality.

What We’re Looking For
Required
Expert proficiency in
Mastercam
Strong background in CNC machining and programming
Solid understanding of setups, tooling, offsets, and workholding
Ability to support both prototype and production machining
Comfortable working in a
fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in
prototype or short-run production
Exposure to medical, aerospace, or high-precision components
Process improvement or informal leadership experience
