Strong SQL, Big data** **Required** **NY/NJ locals who can go in person interviews.** **Day 1 Onsite in NewYork** Responsibilities: • Perform data enquiry, data analysis and data sourcing in Relational and Big Data database environments. • Develop a thorough understanding of the data definitions, domain values, data relationships, business rules, sources, and data integration used in the business domain • Develop a thorough understanding of the technology systems; data stores, data pipelines, job streams etc. • Translate business requirements into data models and program design specifications • Modify ETL and other programs to implement changes to business requirements • Respond to questions from business analysts and developers regarding query building and optimization • Troubleshoot data issues and work with data providers for resolution. Perform L3 support when needed Required Skills: • • Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling • Strong SQL query-writing skills • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Experience with coding in one or more of: Python, shell, Spark programs • At least 5 years financial industry technology experience and knowledge of financial services data • Good verbal and written communication skills Desired Skills: • Experience with analyzing and coding ETL programs • Experience with coding Autosys job definitions • Experience with Data Modeling tools (e.g., Power Designer)
